Juvenile Eagle

When I first spotted the large winged bird, I was hoping to see a Golden Eagle. I have been told there is one in the area where I like to take photos. But it was a juvenile Eagle feeding on the old deer carcass. Don’t get me wrong, I am not disappointed. He (or she) was stunning to watch.

Snow, Frost, Cold Days: Normal Michigan Winter

Everyone has been complaining about the cold here in Michigan. But honestly, it is Michigan. I admit there were a couple of days that had me hibernating indoors. The Setting Sun

The setting sun always attracts me. Tonight, even though the temps were low, I had to go out to take photos. The wind blew the crisp air across my face as soon as I stepped out the door. But I still could not help but capture the setting sun.

My advice: always find a moment to watch the sunrise or the sunset. Each one is different. The stolen moments before or after a chaotic day provides a sense of calm.
