Happy 50th Anniversary

I purchased this photo as part of an online auction. There’s no information on the back of the photo.

The cake does have a 50 on the topper. I am guessing, the couple is celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

I like the ceramic ducks hanging on the wall. They remind me of some my grandpa had at his house years ago. There are also little ceramic pheasants on the shelf built into the wall.

There is a calendar hanging behind the stove but unfortunately, I cannot read the date.

When you look at the photo, what do you see? I am hoping the couple had many more years of happiness together.

Some of the Fellows

I recently purchased some photos from an auction site.

In this particular find, the back of the photo reads, “Some of the Fellows”.

Unfortunately, I do not have any more information. I am assuming, the group was in the military at the time of the photo. I cannot tell which branch. If someone can distinguish the uniforms, I would like to know the branch.

Signs of Spring: The Return of the Swans

“That is one good thing about this world…

there are always sure to be more springs.”

L.M. Montgomery

I just love watching the beautiful swans. I am always so happy to see their return. For me, the return of the swans is a sign of spring.

Happy Valentine’s Day

I just want to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day!

I don’t know the story behind these photos of couples. But I thought they would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!

How are celebrating the holiday?

A Herd of Deer

I was on my way home when I was fortunate to see this herd of deer. I think, there are 21 deer. I only took a few photos of them. I did not want to spook the deer while they were eating. We’ve been having very frigid temperatures the last few days. I am sure the deer were happy to find food.

National Save The Eagles Day

Did you know today, January 10th is National Save the Eagles Day? I could not imagine life without these majestic birds to photograph in the wild. I could photograph Eagles all day long. They are beautiful to watch even when they are munching on their latest carcass.

This beautiful Eagle was in my neighbor’s tree. I am so happy everyone in my neighborhood does not think anything of me standing in the road while I take pictures of animals around their property.

The Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle are the only two found here in the USA. I applaud all conservation efforts to save the Eagles all around the world.

Until next time…peace
