I photographed this beautiful creature from a distance. She was just so still. I don’t know if she was ill or hurt. Or maybe she was just having a rest. But she just stared at me.
I wanted to walk up to her. But she was on private property. I didn’t dare cross over.
Until next time…peace
Today is Nature Day. I find peace in nature. The fact they are designating an entire day to nature is amazing. I hope others find nature as soothing as I do.
I could spend hours watching and photographing all types of nature. Every aspect of nature intrigues me.
Do you have a favorite spot to watch nature? Let me know.
Until next time…peace
Happy 1st Day of June, everyone! I hope the last 6 months of 2022 are good for all of you.
I spotted these two young does on the river flats. They were just as curious about me as I was about them.
The two were wading in the water coming toward me. But as soon as they spotted me, they just stopped. I could see them peeking through the trees at me.
Until next time…peace
I was on my way home when I was fortunate to see this herd of deer. I think, there are 21 deer. I only took a few photos of them. I did not want to spook the deer while they were eating. We’ve been having very frigid temperatures the last few days. I am sure the deer were happy to find food.

Even though the wind still holds the winter chill, the sun is shining brightly today. I am ecstatic to see the first signs of spring. Don’t get me wrong I am positive old man winter is not done with us. But, the early signs of spring always provides an extra mood lift.
The Sandhill Cranes have been voicing their return. Their deep throating rattle is music to my ears as they fly high above me.

The Canadian geese are very vocal down on the river flats. The snow is slowly melting away.
I see Robins searching for food in my yard. The Red-Winged Blackbirds are singing loudly. The slight warm-up brings good cheer to all creatures, not just humans.
Well, until next time…peace
Viewing the deer from my front porch is alway a wonder.

Just thought I would share my Supermoon photo. The gorgeous night allowed me to spend a lot of time photographing the moon. The only thing that worried me was the rustling in the woods behind me. Logically, I know the creature was a squirrel, raccoon, deer or an opossum. But my mind always seems to wander to Bigfoot, werewolf, or even a Dementor.
Needless to say, I kept turning around to see if anything was heading my way. Of course, nothing ventured out of the darkened woods. The moment provided me with inspiration to write the rest of the evening.
Until next time…peace
I have been enjoying time away from my computer. Oh, don’t get me wrong I am still meeting my article deadlines. My editor would not be happy with me if I work was not in on time. But I have also been enjoying the warm weather. One great aspect about this time of year is all the babies.
But I have also been outdoors more enjoying the warm weather. With combating the weeds and viewing the everything nature has to offer, I just seem to lose track of time. One great aspect about this time of year is all the babies.

Baby birds, ducks, and geese are easily viewable.

And, the tadpoles are so much fun to watch along the water’s edge.

I have not been able to spot any baby deer yet. I have three does who visit my yard every night. I can tell, they are very pregnant. So, I am hoping I will soon see a couple of fawns.
Until next time…peace
Originally, my plan for today was to mow the lawn. After I reached half way around my yard, I soon realized, I could not finish. The yard had standing water from the other night’s rain. So, I decided to do some wandering.
Being in nature and unplugging for a short time helps me stay creative.

Frogs and more frogs, and tadpoles….

Some wildlife was harder to spot than others.
Who is watching who?
