Two Kids and a Dog

No matter the decade a family pet is always a welcomed companion for children. The kids seem to be dressed up and posing for the photographer.

I do not have any information on the photo. But I am guessing, the photo was taken in the late 1920s or early 1930s.

Did you have a family pet as a kid?

International Picnic Day

Since today is International Picnic Day, I thought I would share this image. I am placing this photo in the late 1940s.

There was no information on the photo. I am guessing from the style of clothes and photo type.

Do you like picnics? I am wondering if she isn’t camping or on a road trip. There’s coffee of the table. The picnic basket appears to be full.

International Waterfall Day

I love waterfalls! Well, I just love being out in nature. I have only visited waterfall in my state.

My favorite are the Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The last time I went, the weather was not the best. But the rain did not stop us from looking around.

Do you have a favorite waterfall? Where is it?

A Couple and Their Dog

I actually have a lot of photos of this couple. Unfortunately, none of the images have any identifying marks.

Since they are posing out front on a porch, I am wondering if they bought a new home.

From their style of clothing and the type of image, I place this photo in the early 1940s.

October 1967

This is another image from a slide which was part of an auction lot. The couple must have spent several days in Canada. First there was photo of The Expo ’67, now I am finding photos of other tourist spots.

From my research, I believe they were at Fort Henry National Historic Site which located in Kingston, Ontario.

January 1969–Mexico

These three slides were together in a small plastic bag in my recent estate lot purchase. There was a little information: January 1969–Mexico.

I wish I knew the name of the resort. I wonder if the place still exists.

I am assuming the two couples traveled together to Mexico. (Probably to escape the cold weather here in Michigan).

Taking photos of each other. I have done this…lol

As I mentioned before, the couples in the images traveled a lot. I am excited to see all their destinations.

May 1961

I took this image from a slide which was labeled May 1961. The group are full of smiles. I do not have any further information.

I recently purchased the slide as part of an estate lot on an auction site.

The people in the slides loved to travel. I am so excited to pull the images off them.

The gentlemen in the photo appear to be in hunting apparel which makes me think they are at a cabin.
