Turkey Vulture

Did you have a fun-filled Labor Day weekend? I stuck close to home. I worked on photos, writing, and housework. I know, an odd combination.

I did go for a ride. I came across these beautiful Turkey Vultures. The one kept opening his (or her) wings. I believe the bird was trying to soak up the sun.

I am fascinated with these birds. My mom use to love them. She said, they were so ugly, they were beautiful. Of course, I find everything in nature has a touch of beauty.

Well, have a good night.

Until next time…peace

  1. Haha, if you read much on WordPress, you will find that photos, writing and housework actually make up a very common holiday for us!

Historical note: In ancient Egypt the vulture was the goddess of beauty ~ because it cleaned all the filth away.
