WWII Nurse

I did a little research on this photo. According to google, the lady’s uniform is either Army Nurse Corp (ANC) or Women’s Army Corp (WAC). The uniform is from the WWII era or early 1940s. If anyone could verify this, I would appreciate it.

She is standing on the dock of a ship. Boat Dock Fire Sta. No. 2 is clearly visible in the background. Most likely the ship was a troop transport or a hospital ship.

What do you think?

Family Posing

I think this image is an extended family posing after a dinner or church. I don’t have any further information on the picture.

From the clothing and type of photo, I am placing the time around the mid-1930s.

Brothers–August 1943

This image is from another estate sale lot. In my opinion, the two young men look like brothers. I am basing this assumption on their facial features.

The photo does not contain any names. But the back is stamped with the Brown Photo Service, Minneapolis, Minnesota logo with the date August 28, 1943.

Either the young man in uniform is on leave or he has just joined the service. The date is only the processing date of the image.

I wonder if he returned home? The date corresponds with WWII.

Until next time…peace.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I have more photographs to add to this blog in 2026! I am also working on transferring 8mm and 16mm films to digital.

I just want to wish everyone a blessed New Year!
