Bush Lake 1957

This photo actually has some information on the back. The handwriting is faded but I believe it reads:

Big Bush Lake Fishing

Dec. 25, 1957

And, then the names Eugene, Oscar, and Dennis.

I know there’s a Bush Lake in Minnesota. And, one here in Michigan.

I cannot tell you the exact location of the photo.

A Lady and Her Duck

I do not have information on the photo. The image is from a batch of photos that I purchased at an estate sale. I actually have numerous pictures of her and her family.

I am placing the image around the late 1940s. The chair looks old. Perhaps, the chair is located in a garden. She was taking a rest and talking to her duck.

What do you think?

Until next time…peace

Vintage Christmas Photos – Day 2 – Opening Gifts

This Christmas photo did not have any identifying marks. I place the photo around the late 1930s to early 1940s.

The lady is well-dressed for her Christmas celebration. I wonder what was in the box. I am guessing, she is a grandmother or great-grandmother to the host.

I love the Christmas cards in the background and the old-fashioned tree.

What do you think?

Merry Christmas!

Until next time…peace

Vintage Christmas Photos – Day 1 – A New Bike

I am assuming this is Christmas morning. The young child just received a new bike. I wasn’t sure at first if this was a Christmas photo. But I finally spotted the Nativity Scene on top of the old television. Also, there are a lot of wrappings and boxes on the floor.

I cannot tell who is sitting on the sofa. But the person appears to still be in pajamas which is why I was thinking this is Christmas morning.

What do you see?

Merry Christmas!

Until next time…peace
