National Moon Day

“Let the moon teach you the art of being beautiful and lonely at the same time.”

Today is National Mood Day! I love photographing the moon. The night offers a stillness that cannot be duplicated in the sunlight.

Have a wonderful day. When the sun finally sets this evening, say hello to the moon.

Celebration

The young girl on the right is proudly holding a doll. The dress of the doll looks handmade. I am wondering if this was a birthday gift or other celebration. All the children are dressed well which gives me the impression the day was a special occasion.

I am guessing the photo was taken in the late 1930s or early 1940s.

What do you think?

Birthday Smiles

I am guessing, that the photo was taken on the little girl’s birthday. She has such a big smile.

I don’t have any information on the photo. From the clothing and photo style, I am guessing 1940s.

What do you think?

Baby Osprey

Happy July! I can’t believe it is July already! This year is moving by so fast.

I spent a little time photographing the Osprey this last weekend. I know this isn’t the best photo, but if you look closely at the female Osprey. (She’s the one looking upward). You can see the baby right under her. I only saw one this year. Last year, there were two. And, yes, the male kept staring at me the whole time.

When I photograph this pair of Osprey, I am very far away. I use a large lens to capture the photo. I only stay a few minutes then I leave. I do not want to bother them. Because I want them to keep coming back.

Until next time…peace
