Three Women–July 1940

The photo of three women has information on the back. I love when I find photos with a little information. First the photo has a date: July 1940.

Next, the image has names: Hilda Shoberg, Rosilia Shoberg, and Ellen Shoberg Dablin. Then at the bottom of the photo reads: Rosilia & Ellen first cousins.

I wonder if the ladies were just visiting. Or if they were attending a wedding or family reunion.

Bay City Wedding

I purchased a large box of 8×10 photos. All the images are beautiful wedding photos. This image is tucked inside a larger folder. The bottom of the top matte reads Agdanowski Studio, Bay City. Unfortunately, there’s no year on the photo. Based on the style of clothing, I would guess early 1920s.

I love the bride’s dress. I wish I could see the color of the flowers. Everyone looks so proper and fine for the wedding day. I think the bridesmaid resembles the bride. I wonder if they are sisters.

Benjestown Road-1945

This photo was part of an estate sale purchase. My favorite part of the photo is the information on the back. The photo had a location, Benjestown Road, Tennessee, and a date, 1945. I generally do not get any information on the back of a photo.

From the girl’s clothing, I am guessing, this is her first time on a horse.

Man in the Doorway

Over the years, I have worked on many photos, negatives, and films. Some photos I just can’t help but wonder about the back story. Who was this person? Where was this photo taken?

The Man in the Doorway is one of those photos. I am assuming, the photo was taken on a military base. He appears in other photos that would corroborate this guess. But unfortunately, that is all the information I have.
